Live blackjack at Vegas Now is dealt by Evolution across several table variants listed in our live-casino lobby: standard tables with seven seats, Infinite Blackjack with no limit on players, Power Blackjack with its altered deck, and Bet Behind for anyone who wants a stake on a seated hand. This page explains how a hand works, which table specifications are published, which bets and side bets are offered, how blackjack counts toward bonus wagering at 10% and toward loyalty at 1 point per $250, where the Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback sits among our promotions, and why a live table is the slow route to clearing a bonus.

How a hand of live blackjack works

Each hand is yours against the dealer’s; the other players at the table are not your opponents. During the betting window you place a main bet in your seat and, if you wish, side bets in the smaller spots beside it. The dealer then deals two cards to each seat and two to the dealer’s own hand, one of them face up. That face-up card is the upcard, and it is the only information you have about the dealer’s hand when you decide.

The decision is whether to take another card or stand on the total you hold. A hand that goes over 21 loses at once. Once every seat has finished, the dealer completes the dealer’s hand under the fixed rules printed on the table, and each remaining hand is compared with it: closer to 21 wins. The main bet is settled on that comparison; each side bet is settled on its own condition, described below.

Live blackjack table types at Vegas Now

Our lobby lists several blackjack variants. The published specifications for the Evolution tables are these.

Table type or item Published specification Side bets published
Standard live blackjack Seven seats; Bet Behind on seated hands Perfect Pairs and 21+3 on most tables
Infinite Blackjack Unlimited players Perfect Pairs and 21+3, plus Any Pair, Hot 3 and Bust It
Power Blackjack Eight decks with the 9s and 10s removed; picture cards kept Perfect Pairs and 21+3, plus Any Pair, Hot 3 and Bust It
Deck counts Vary by variant —
Bonus wagering contribution 10% for blackjack, general bonus terms of 26 February 2024 —
Maximum bet with an active bonus AUD 8 —
Loyalty earning rate 1 point per $250 wagered —

Two of these rows change how a table plays. A seven-seat table can be full, which is where Bet Behind comes in. And Power Blackjack is dealt from a shoe of eight decks with every 9 and 10 taken out while the picture cards stay in, which alters the mix of totals two cards can make; read it as a different game that shares a name, not as ordinary blackjack with a side bet added.

Bets, Bet Behind and side bets explained

The main bet is the stake on your own hand, placed in the betting window and settled against the dealer’s hand. Bet Behind lets you stake on a hand that a seated player is playing. You do not make the decisions; you win or lose with theirs, at the odds the table pays that hand. It is the way to play a full seven-seat table.

Perfect Pairs is a side bet on your own first two cards forming a pair, graded as a mixed pair, a coloured pair or a perfect pair according to how closely the two cards match. 21+3 is a side bet that your first two cards and the dealer’s upcard together form a three-card poker hand. Both are offered on most Evolution tables. Any Pair, Hot 3 and Bust It are added on Infinite Blackjack and Power Blackjack; Bust It, as the name says, is a bet on the dealer’s hand going over 21. Each side bet is a separate stake with its own paytable, settled apart from the main bet, and losing a side bet does not affect the main hand.

A worked example on the one published limit that touches every bet: the AUD 8 maximum while a bonus is active. A $5 main bet with $2 on Perfect Pairs and $1 on 21+3 places $8 on the hand. The safe reading of the cap is that total, side bets included, so adding a $2 Bet Behind on a neighbour’s hand while a bonus is active is the point to stop and check. Without a bonus active, the cap does not apply and the table’s own limits govern.

Payout odds for the main hand and for each side bet are printed on the table you open, and the Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback terms are shown in your Vegas Now account; neither is restated here, because both are specific to the table or the offer.

How live blackjack counts toward bonus wagering at Vegas Now

Our general bonus terms, dated 26 February 2024, set the contribution rates: slots 100% with listed exceptions, roulette 25%, blackjack and game shows 10%, baccarat 0%. Every $1 staked at a blackjack table counts as $0.10 toward a wagering requirement. The welcome package covers the casino and live casino, so blackjack is eligible, and the 10% rate applies to the hand whether you win it or lose it.

The welcome bonus page works from a $100 first deposit: a 150% match of $150 and a 40× requirement of $6,000 within seven days. At 10%, $6,000 of contribution needs $60,000 of blackjack stakes. At the AUD 8 maximum bet that is 7,500 hands, about 1,071 a day for seven days. At $2 a hand it is 30,000 hands.

Where the $6,000 is wagered Contribution Stakes needed Hands or spins at AUD 8 Per day over 7 days
Pokies not on the exceptions list 100% $6,000 750 About 107
Roulette, including Lightning Roulette 25% $24,000 3,000 About 429
Blackjack, and game shows such as Crazy Time 10% $60,000 7,500 About 1,071
Baccarat 0% Does not count — —

Four other published conditions sit with the table. Only one bonus is active at a time, so the second-deposit offer waits for the first to be cleared or to expire. Winnings from a deposit bonus are capped at $5,000 or equivalent per offer. The bonus lasts seven days. And under our account terms the deposit must be wagered three times before related funds can be withdrawn, with or without a bonus; the published consequence of asking early is refusal or a processing fee.

Why live games are a slow way to clear a bonus

The rate is the reason. At 10%, ten dollars staked produces one dollar of progress, so the requirement is ten times longer in stakes than on a pokie. At the AUD 8 ceiling a hand adds $0.80 to the requirement; 7,500 hands is the best case the terms allow, and smaller stakes mean more hands. Good decisions do not change this: the contribution is calculated on the stake, not on whether the hand won, so playing well shortens nothing about the requirement, even though it matters a great deal to the balance.

The pace compounds it. A live table deals at the dealer’s speed and waits for every seat; the seven-day clock waits for no one. Over a week, 7,500 hands is a full-time occupation, and whether a $250 balance of deposit and bonus survives $60,000 of staking is not something any average can promise.

Two sensible courses follow. If blackjack is your game, our general terms allow a bonus to be declined, which removes the AUD 8 cap, the clock and the requirement; the three-times deposit wagering rule still applies before a withdrawal. If you want the bonus, clear most of it on pokies at 100%, or on roulette at 25%, and keep blackjack for play without a target. Crazy Time and the other game shows share blackjack’s 10% rate.

Loyalty points from blackjack

Our loyalty programme has seven levels themed on Las Vegas venues, with points earned through real-money play. The published rates are 1 redeemable point and 1 status point per $25 wagered on slots, 1 point per $100 on roulette, and 1 point per $250 on blackjack and baccarat. At a blackjack table, $250 of stakes earns 1 point.

Worked through, the $60,000 of blackjack stakes that clears the $6,000 welcome example earns 240 points. The Loyalty Store exchanges 200 points for a $5 bonus at the starting level, Golden Glimmer, so that run converts to one $5 bonus with 40 points left over; the loyalty page’s example of saving 2,000 points for $60 would take $500,000 of blackjack stakes. Higher levels exchange at better rates: the published table shows 750 points for AUD 20 at Parisian Palace Las Vegas and 100,000 points for AUD 5,000 at Bella Vista. A bonus exchanged from points carries 40× wagering, and at the blackjack table a $5 bonus means $200 of requirement and $2,000 of stakes.

Notice that the rates line up with the contribution table: $6,000 on slots, $24,000 on roulette and $60,000 on blackjack each earn 240 points while clearing the same requirement. The points are the same; the staking is not. Level thresholds, from Golden Glimmer II at 600 status points upward, and the VIP Lounge, where selection is based on dedication and regular activity, are described on the loyalty and VIP page.

Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback and other promotions

Our promotions page lists a blackjack-specific offer, Diamond Club Blackjack Cashback, alongside Monthly Bankroll Booster, Grand Mondays, Lucky 7s Load Up, Free Spins Flush, 3-of-a-kind Thursdays, Friday Night Spotlight, 7-Deadly Spins and Sunday Split. Two of the others carry published figures: Lucky 7s Load Up is a 77% match up to $77 per deposit every Tuesday, repeatable, with the code on the offer; Friday Night Spotlight gives 40 free spins per qualifying Friday deposit on a featured game that changes weekly. The weekly promotions page sets them out.

Whatever an offer credits, the general bonus terms govern it: 40× by default, seven days, AUD 8 maximum bet while active, one active bonus at a time, and the contribution table on this page. If a cashback is credited as a bonus, those terms apply to it, and clearing it at the blackjack table runs at the 10% rate: the arithmetic above in miniature.

Playing live blackjack on mobile

The tables run in the phone browser; there is no native App Store or Google Play app and no APK. Save the site to the Home Screen so that it opens like an app: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen and Open as Web App; in Chrome, open More, then Install or create a shortcut. The Vegas Now mobile page walks through both. A live table needs a steady connection, because the decision window closes on the dealer’s schedule; decide early rather than at the last second, and set a deposit limit in the account before the first hand.

Common live blackjack mistakes

  • Assuming full contribution. Blackjack counts 10% toward wagering; a $6,000 requirement needs $60,000 of stakes.
  • Letting side bets push a hand past AUD 8. With a bonus active, read the cap as the total placed on the hand, side bets included.
  • Treating Power Blackjack as ordinary blackjack. Its shoe has eight decks with the 9s and 10s removed. The totals two cards can make are different.
  • Forgetting whose decisions a Bet Behind follows. The seated player decides; you win or lose with them.
  • Expecting a side bet to rescue the main hand. They are settled separately. A lost Perfect Pairs stake is simply lost.
  • Withdrawing straight after depositing. The deposit must be wagered three times first under our account terms.
  • Playing baccarat to clear a bonus. Baccarat contributes 0%; nothing staked there counts.

Responsible play

Vegas Now is operated by Just Entertainment B.V. under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/164/0246, and play is for people aged 18 and over. The cards do not remember the last hand, and a run of losses is not a reason to raise the stake. Decide the session budget before sitting down, set deposit limits in your account, and use self-exclusion if play stops being entertainment. Our responsible gambling page explains the tools.
